Management Research: The Journal of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management
Editor: Rita Campos e Cunha, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (rcc_mr@fe.unl.pt)
Management Research is an international journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of management in private and public sector organizations through empirical investigation and theoretical analysis. MR attempts to promote an international dialogue between researchers and thereby improve the understanding of the nature of management in different settings, and consequently, achieve a reasonable transfer of research results to management practice in several contexts. MR is receptive to research across a broad range of management topics such as human resource management, organizational behavior, organizational theory, and strategic management. While not regional in nature, articles dealing with Iberoamerican issues are particularly welcomed. "I am thrilled to see Management Research come on the scene. We have a pressing need for new intellectual discourse on the very themes that MR seeks to highlight: national and cultural similarities and differences in managerial phenomena. The journal's all-star editorial review board makes me very optimistic about MR's standards, timeliness, and significance." -Donald C. Hambrick, Smeal Chair in Management. The Pennsylvania State University "Management Research fills an important niche in its combination of scholarly rigor and focus on Iberoamerican issues. In today's global economy, MR's message has never been more important." -Kathy Eisenhardt, Stanford University "The inauguration of Management Research represents a new enlightened perspective on global management scholarship. We are increasingly recognizing the need to understand the nature of management in different cultures, contexts, and settings. MR provides an exciting and important opportunity for advancing this understanding among all countries and cultures." -Andrew Van de Ven, President, Academy of Management (2000-01); Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota
